SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regard to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance position produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA here will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and boost entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
